Why aren’t the alarm recordings being saved by the Foscam NVR?
This article will introduce troubleshooting steps to correct the reason alarm triggered events recording files are not being saved to the hard drive of the NVR.
Solutions: Step 1: Confirm the alarm settings of the NVR are configured properly.
Step 2: Verify that the hard drive has been formatted correctly so that the NVR can read and write to the drive.
Format disk using the Setup Wizard on the NVR monitor or click Format Local Disk on its webpage.
Step 3: Verify the log
of the camera to verify a triggered alarm event occurred. If no events have
been triggered there will be no video record of an untriggered event.
Verify the alarm trigger
settings, sensitivity levels, timeframes, etc. to capture desired alarm
events. If the settings are incorrect the unit will not record the desired
events.
Conduct a controlled test to
verify the equipment is operating properly and review the results of the
test. (Verify a recording file was stored on the NVR hard drive and view
the file.)
